Bhindi Masala|Bhindi Gravy Recipe
Ingredients:
Bhindi- 500 Gram
Mustard seeds - 1Tsp
Cumin seeds - 1Tsp
Black Gram - 1Tsp
Green Chillies- 2 to 4
Curry leaves - 8 to 10
Garlic Cloves- 3 to 4
Ginger- 1 small piece
Onion - 1
Red chilli powder - 2 Tsp
Coriander powder - 1Tsp
Cumin powder - 1Tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 Tsp
Salt to taste
Curd - 100 Gram
Garam masala- 1Tsp
For Tomatoe paste
Tomatoe- 3
Green chillies- 3
Water
Directions :
1.Take 500 gram bhindi- wash and dry.Then remove its head and tail.
2. Cut into 1.5 inch in length.Cut all the bhendi likewise.
3.Heat a pan,3 Tbsp oil to it and when oil is sufficiently hot,put the bhindi pieces into the oil.Stir and fry them until soft.Once done take them out in a plate.It takes 8 to 9 minutes to fry the bhindi.
4.Now in same pan add Cumin seeds ,Musterd seeds,black gram,green chillies, curry leaves ,Garlic ,Ginger and onion and roast them for few minutes.
5.Add Red chilli powder,Coriander powder,cumin powder turmeric powder and salt and mix it well.
6.Add tomatoes and green chillies puree.Keep gas flame medium,stir the masala continually and close the pan & cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
7.Now add 2 bowl water and mix it well and cook for 5 to 8 minutes.
8.Now turn off the flame .Because we have to add now curd.
9.Cool it down a bit.
10.Turn on the flame and add curd.
11.Mix it well.
12.Cook 3 to 4 minutes on low flame.
13.Add fried bhindi.
14.Mix well and cook for a minute.
15.Add Garam masala and mix well.
16.Turn off the flame
